During pregnancy having healthy food is not only sufficient and so you should include healthy drinks and juices to meet the growing baby’s requirement. Pregnant women often suffer from dehydration, constipation, and heartburn. Fruit juices and some drinks help a pregnant lady to stay hydrated. Here are some healthy and refreshing drinks

1. Water

You should have coconut water during the first trimester and the last days of the third trimester.

  • Apple juice: Apple is one of the most common and important fruit to eat while pregnant. Apples are rich in nutrients and contain vitamins A, E, and D. It increases the immunity and strength of the body.
  • Pomegranate juice: Pomegranate is highly recommended during pregnancy as they contain folate, iron, and protein.
  • Orange juice: Orange comprises of vitamin c i.e. it has antioxidant property and also aids in iron absorption. Orange has Folate a key vitamin needed during pregnancy and has high water content which helps you stay away from dehydration.

5. Vegetables juices or soup

Vegetable juices are a great source of Folate and fibre. You can include some of the vegetable juice like carrot juice, tomato juice and beetroot juice.

  • Tomato juice: tomato juice provides plenty of nutrients for pregnancy i.e. vitamin C, folic acid and calcium. It is also a good source of potassium.

Beetroot juices should be included in diet from the second trimester as some study shows that it increases nausea and vomiting so avoid beetroot during the first 3 months.
